Watched a crew pour a slab at the new Amazon warehouse in Richmond last week
They used a laser screed and got 20,000 sq ft done in like 3 hours without breaking a sweat. Has anyone else seen those things in action or is it just me who was blown away?

You ever watch a video of one of those laser screeds on a big job site? I was reading this thing the other day about how they use GPS and lasers to keep the slab perfectly level down to like a quarter inch tolerance. It's wild to think how much manual work that replaces, I bet the old timers who used to do it with bull floats and their eyeballs would be shook seeing one of those machines glide across 20k feet. The Amazon warehouse thing makes sense, they probably don't want any slab settlement issues with all those heavy robot shelving units rolling around.

Whoa, 20k square feet in 3 hours? That thing moves faster than my last Amazon package delivery (still waiting on that one, btw). Guess they really are in a hurry to get those robots shelved.
