Swapped from a hand float to a power trowel on a big slab last Wednesday in Phoenix
The difference in finish quality was night and day, I got a flat smooth surface in half the time and the GC even stopped to ask what I did different - has anyone else made that switch and noticed a huge jump in consistency?

Is a smoother slab really worth bragging about though?

I know a guy who spent a month dialing in his shower mix just so the slab would dry evenly without those water spots, he was so proud of it he sent me a photo at 2am.
