Spent 3 hours fixing a bad broom finish on a patio in Spokane

The homeowner wanted a really light texture, but the mix was setting up way faster than usual in the afternoon sun. Ended up having to mist it down and rework the whole 300 square foot area with a fresh magnesium float. Anyone else run into timing issues with that specific broom finish look?

Mist it down and rework the whole thing? I mean, that sounds like a total nightmare to me. I can't believe you saved a 300 square foot pour that was setting up that fast.

Might be mixing your trowels there - a magnesium float is for bringing up cream, not reworking a broom finish. You'd want a steel Fresno trowel or a soft rubber float if you're trying to reset that surface without burning it.
