Showerthought: I've poured 50,000 yards of concrete in my career and just now realized something about my first year
I was going through old job logs last week and added up all the yards I've placed since I started in 2004. Came out to just over 50,000 yards, which blew my mind because I remember thinking I'd never get good at this trade. My first year I probably placed maybe 800 yards total and half of it got torn out or patched. The crazy part is I can still remember the specific pours from that first year way better than stuff I did last month. Does anyone else feel like the early jobs stick in your head harder than the recent ones?
