Hand troweling vs power trowel on a 2k sq ft slab

Did a warehouse floor in Fresno last week, did one half with a power trowel and the other by hand to save time. The power trowel side came out way flatter, no washboard marks even with the 3/8 slump. Anyone else stick to hand work on smaller pads, or am I just wasting hours?
