Finally admitted the magnesium float wasn't for me after 9 years

I used to think using a magnesium float was the only pro way to finish. Then I helped a crew in Nashville who used a resin float for everything and I couldn't believe how much easier it was to keep a consistent edge. Tried it the next week on a 1,200 square foot garage slab and the surface came out flatter than anything I'd done with mag. Anyone else stuck on a tool just because older guys swore by it?
