Just realized most monitor stands are just hiding bad cable management
Was at a client's office in Seattle yesterday fixing their server rack and noticed every desk had the same 'clean setup' - cable mess stuffed behind a flimsy plastic stand. Anyone else find more hidden cable nests than actual problems on site calls?

85 bucks for a brand new monitor and I used to think the stand was just part of the design, you know, something you paid for. But after helping a buddy move his setup last week, I saw the truth. He had this giant 27-inch Dell with a thick plastic base, and when we flipped it over, it was just a hollow shell jammed with a power brick and three cables. Made me feel a little dumb for never looking underneath mine. Now I check every stand I see and half of them are just fancy trash cans for wires.
