Had a client bring in a desktop that smelled like a fish market

Got a call from a guy in the Northgate area last Tuesday. Said his PC kept shutting down. Opened the case and the smell hit me. Found a dead mouse, plus three whole sardines tucked behind the power supply. He said his cat was 'hiding snacks.' Took two hours to clean and de-funk the thing. Honestly, what's the weirdest thing you've pulled out of a machine?

Honestly that's pretty wild, but dead rodents are weirdly common. Pulled a petrified gecko out of an old server once, thing was mummified. The weirdest for me was a full set of dentures in a public library computer's CD drive.

That denture story is next level, @josephs26. I found a petrified mouse nest inside a wall panel once, just a dry little ball of fur and paper. It's amazing what gets sealed up and forgotten in places people use every day.

Does anyone else wonder what kind of person just leaves dentures in a CD drive? Like that's not something you forget by accident. You gotta deliberately put them in there and walk away. Probably someone trying to get back at the library for some fine or something. Makes you think about all the weird passive aggressive stuff people do in public spaces.
