That $400 drysuit zipper replacement I put off almost killed my dive Saturday
My neck seal zipper started sticking two months ago and I figured I'd just deal with it, then at 60 feet on a bridge pier inspection in Charleston the thing blew open and flooded my suit. Cost me $475 to fix it right after that, plus a whole day of lost work. Anyone else learned the hard way not to cheap out on zipper maintenance?
