I started using a cheap plastic soap dish to hold my dive slate
It was always sliding around on the deck, but I zip tied a two dollar dish to my tool bag and it stays put now. What other simple fixes have you guys found for small gear annoyances?

That zip tie trick is a solid move. I've had so many little things slide off a boat deck or a bench. My fix for a loose gear bag strap was just a carabiner from an old keychain, clipped it right to the D-ring. It's the cheap, simple solutions that last the longest.
