Heads up on those new Kirby Morgan band masks we're seeing on job sites

I was at a dive shop in Houston last week and two guys came in complaining about the cracking on the new-style exhaust tees after only like 40 dives. Anyone else seeing those fail faster than the old rubber ones?

Yeah I heard about those cracking exhaust tees. Reminds me of when some of the older Kirby Morgan parts started getting swapped to that harder plastic stuff and guys were complaining about the fit. Have you seen any issues with the rubber on the cheek pads getting stiff too fast?

@lucaslane yeah you're right about the cheek pad rubber getting stiff, that's a real issue with some of the newer batches. But I gotta push back a little on the cracking exhaust tees thing... I think you might be thinking of the older version of the Slingshot? The ones that had the nylon insert, not the actual rubber tee. I've seen a few of those nylon inserts crack from guys cranking the hose down too tight. Never had a rubber tee fail on me though, even the cheaper aftermarket ones. The cheek pad thing though, yeah I've seen that happen after a few months in warm water.
