Warning: That $60 hardcover omnibus fell apart after one read

Bought the Absolute Edition of a classic run last month. Opened it carefully. By page 50 the binding cracked. Pages started falling out by issue 3. I babied it. Not like I was bending it backwards. Contacted the publisher. They offered me a 20% discount on my next order. So basically nothing. Anyone else had binding issues with those premium editions?

Bought that same Absolute Edition thinking I was treating myself to something fancy. Dropped $100 on it and by page 30 the spine was already starting to separate. I even wore those white gloves people joke about because I wanted to keep it pristine. Now I got a book thats more glue than paper and feels like itll fall apart if I sneeze near it. Guess my collection is just a bunch of overpriced coasters at this point.

Man, I've had nothing but good luck with DC's Absolute Editions, maybe you just got a dud copy.
