Warning: I used to think you had to read every single issue to be a real fan.
For years, I'd hunt down every tie-in and crossover, spending maybe $80 a month. It felt like homework. About two years ago, I missed a big event and just read the main story summary online. Realized I enjoyed the characters I actually liked way more without the clutter. Now I only follow two ongoing series. Anyone else get burned out trying to keep up with everything?

I used to think the same way about reading everything. But you're right, focusing on just the characters you actually like makes it fun again instead of a chore. I wish I had figured that out sooner.

But what if you miss a great side character, @jessicahill?
