Tried reading a silver age run for the first time and I don't get the hype
I'm 32 and mostly grew up on 90s and 2000s stuff. Last month I finally sat down with a bunch of classic 1960s Fantastic Four issues because everyone online says it's the greatest thing ever. I expected mind blowing stories but honestly the dialogue felt stiff and every issue had some weird science lecture that killed the pace. I get it was a different time, but I learned that nostalgia plays a huge role in how people judge these books. I'm not saying they're bad, just that they didn't click for me at all. Has anyone else jumped into an older era late and felt totally lost on why it's praised?
