That week in 1994 when my LCS got a case of X-Men #1 and we all lost our minds
I was 14 and my local comic place in Bakersfield got a whole case of X-Men #1 with the fold-out covers, way more copies than anyone expected. My buddy Dave and I rode our bikes there three days straight after school just to stand in line and hold one. By Friday the owner let us help sort back issues for store credit, and I walked out with a copy plus an extra for Dave's birthday. No other week at that store ever felt like that, everyone was talking to strangers and trading right there on the floor. Anybody here still have their copies from the big speculator flood, or did you sell them off when they turned out to be worth nothing?

Case was from 91, not 94.
