Stuck between buying issue by issue vs waiting for the trade: how do you collect your comics?

I used to buy single issues every Wednesday without fail. But after moving last year I realized I had 3 long boxes of stuff I never re-read. Then I tried waiting for the trade on a new series and missed out on that weekly buzz at the shop. Now I'm half and half and it feels messy. What do you do for your pull list? Do you go single issues all the way or wait for collected editions?

Just pick one and commit. You're way overthinking this. I trade wait for everything now because my backlog is a disaster and my wallet has limits. Single issues are cool for the weekly ritual but lets be real most of them just end up in a box. Half the stuff I bought issue by issue didnt even get collected properly and now I have random #1s with no endings. Pick a lane and stop stressing.

22 issues into a run on a series I loved, the artist switched and the writing took a nosedive. Now I'm stuck with a half finished story in singles that I can't even sell for a buck each. Trade waiting would have saved me the headache but then I wouldn't have those first 22 covers on my wall.
