Spent 7 hours rebagging my collection because I used the wrong size bags for 5 years
Last Saturday I finally sat down to rebag my floppies and it turned into a 7 hour nightmare. Turns out I'd been using standard bags on books that needed silver or even golden size, so about 300 issues were crammed in there with the corners getting bent. I had them in long boxes by publisher in my garage in Sacramento, and once I started pulling them out I saw the damage on my X-Men run from the 80s. The worst part was that my local shop only had 100 silver bags in stock, so I had to drive to two other stores across town to get enough. I ended up spending $85 on bags and boards and another $40 on a fresh short box just to hold the oversized ones. My back still hurts from leaning over the dining table for that long. Has anyone else messed up bag sizes early on and had to do a full rescue mission like this?

300 issues is brutal. I did the same thing with about 150 books back in 2016, mostly my Daredevil run, and spent a whole Sunday rebagging everything while my wife kept asking why I was so grumpy. The part that really got me was finding out the hard way that golden age bags won't even fit in a standard short box, so now half my shelf is a mess of mismatched boxes.
