PSA: I counted 40 people in line at my local shop on New Comics Day, and only 6 were regulars
I sat in the corner of my shop on Wednesday and just watched for an hour because I had nothing else going on. Turns out the store had a sign-up sheet for a signing event, and 34 of those folks were there for one guest, not for the weekly pull. The owner told me his actual subscriber list is around 90 people, but walk-in traffic on event days can hit 300. It got me thinking about how many shops survive on these one-off spikes instead of loyal readers. Does your local shop lean on events too, or is it mostly the same faces each week?
