My comic book collection almost got ruined by sunlight last summer
I had my longboxes set up near a south-facing window in my apartment in Austin, and after a few months the top issues on the left side started fading bad. I caught it when I pulled out my UXM #266 and the cover was noticeably lighter than I remembered. Anybody else have a close call with sun damage and what did you do to rearrange your storage space?

Man, I'm not sure it's that huge of a deal unless you're leaving them right in the sun all day. @michaeladams is probably being a little extra with the dark sheet idea, but I guess a little precaution never hurts. Honestly, unless you're planning to resell them for top dollar, a bit of fading just gives them character.

Yeah that UV damage is brutal. You probably want to pull those boxes at least a few feet away from any window, or throw a dark sheet over them if you can't move them. Also make sure you're not storing them directly on the floor in case of any water leaks or flooding.
