Bought the Graded 9.8 of that indie #1 for $150 and it's now worth $12
Honestly I fell for the hype on this indie book from the 2022 con circuit, dropped $150 at a booth in Portland thinking it'd moon after the movie announcement. Fast forward 18 months and that movie got cancelled, the shop near me has three copies at $12 on the wall. Ngl I get it's a gamble but does anyone actually read these things or are we all just buying slabs to flip? Has anyone else eaten a big loss on a variant that got overhyped?
