TIL that 8% of men have some form of color blindness, not the 1% I always thought.

I found this stat in a footnote of a design textbook from my local library. I used to think it was a tiny issue, but that's a huge chunk of users. What's the most common mistake you see designers make because they don't know this?

Honestly, sometimes maps just get crowded! Think about it, @wendy_clark, they have to fit so much on one screen. Maybe the focus was on a major storm system hitting the middle of the country. It wasn't about leaving people out on purpose. It was probably just a choice to show the biggest weather event at that moment. They can't show every single area in full detail all the time.
