Textured labels on game controllers fixed our family game nights
My colorblind brother kept grabbing the wrong controller during our weekly game night. I added bumpy stickers to each one so he can tell them apart by touch. Isn't it cool how small tweaks can make things work for everyone?

Why do we overlook such easy solutions? A small change like textured labels can make a big difference for people who need it. We need more of this smart, simple thinking in everyday design.

@haydensanchez gets it. Simple fixes matter. Like a raised dot on a stove knob so you can feel when it's off. Or those bumpy tiles at crosswalks that tell blind people where to stop. These changes cost almost nothing but help a ton. We keep making stuff for the typical person and ignore everyone else. That's just bad design. We need more of these smart tweaks in everything.

I used to think this stuff was just nice to have... but @haydensanchez is right about how we overlook easy fixes. That textured label idea is so simple but it changes everything for someone. Guess good design should just work for everyone from the start.
