Struggled between red-green vs blue-yellow color schemes for a client dashboard in Chicago

I was building a data dashboard for a logistics company and had to pick between a red-green alert system and a blue-yellow one. I went with blue-yellow after testing it with a colorblind coworker who said the red-green just looked like a gray blur to him. The client was hesitant at first but now says the blue-yellow actually looks cleaner on the screen. Has anyone else run into pushback when switching away from the standard red-green traffic light idea?

Are you kidding me, the pushback was REAL on my end too? I swapped from red-green to a purple-orange scheme for a warehouse heatmap and my boss said it looked like a kid's toy at first. Now he admits the contrast is way BETTER for the operators who actually have to stare at it all day.
