Question about the green and red dots on the London Tube map
I was at Paddington station last Tuesday trying to follow the map and those little green and red transfer dots just blended together for me. Had to ask three people which line went where. Has anyone else run into this kind of color coding problem in transit maps?

Those green and red dots are actually for the Overground and Elizabeth line. Not transfer points. Easy mistake to make though, the map is a mess of colors.

Does it feel like everything these days is designed by someone who never actually uses it? Like the person who made the tube map probably sat in a clean office with a color wheel while we're down there trying to figure out if we're headed east or west. I swear it's the same with those new washing machines that have 50 settings but no "just clean my clothes" button. The map has so many lines now it looks like a kid went crazy with highlighters. Maybe they should just put a big star at each station where you can actually switch trains and leave the color dots for the routes themselves.
