PSA: That color blind simulator my coworker recommended actually saved a logo design
My designer friend Jen told me to run everything through Coblis before sending it to clients. I finally tried it last Tuesday on a green and red logo and realized the contrast basically disappeared for someone with deuteranopia. She was right, and now I check every mockup before exporting.

Did you actually test it with the simulator before your coworker mentioned it? I've been guilty of skipping that step way too many times, it's crazy how much we miss when we're just relying on our own eyes. I had a similar moment last month with a blue and purple gradient for an app icon, it literally looked like the same color to someone with tritanopia. Such a simple thing to check but it makes all the difference for real people trying to use your stuff.

Read somewhere that 1 in 12 men have color blindness, crazy stat.
