Pro tip: Painting my living room showed me why color contrast matters for colorblind folks.

Add texture or shape labels to color choices.

That tip about texture labels is spot on. It's part of a bigger pattern where designs that help one group (like colorblind folks) end up helping everyone.

Honestly, everyone gets so excited about texture labels. Sure, it sounds nice in theory, like @jackson.sandra always says. But have you ever actually felt a textured paint sample at the store? They all feel kinda the same, just gritty. Most colorblind people I know just ask someone or use an app. This feels like solving a problem that already has easier answers.

Try textured paint samples too, which proves @jackson.sandra's point about designs helping everyone.
