My old boss in Dallas made me use red and green status dots, and I finally pushed back
Two years back I just copied whatever dashboard template the team handed me, red for bad and green for good, until a colorblind client in Dallas told me he could not tell which of his 5 servers were down. Now I use shapes and labels instead (triangle for alerts, check for ok), but a coworker swears color is faster to scan and I am second guessing myself. Do you drop color completely or keep it and just add a second cue?
