Finally got my traffic light icons right after a test with my brother

I was working on a dashboard for a project and used red, yellow, and green circles for status. My brother is red-green colorblind, and when he looked at it, he asked why two of the lights were the same. I added a tiny shape inside each circle a triangle for stop, a square for caution, and a circle for go. He said it was instantly clear. Has anyone else found a simple fix that worked better than they thought?

My cousin is colorblind too and I ran into the same problem with a chart. Adding a different pattern to each bar, like stripes or dots, made it work for everyone. It's such a simple change that gets overlooked.

That's a solid fix for colorblind folks. Maybe grant569 should try it before his next chart causes a family feud. Patterns really do save the day.

Wait, your brother couldn't tell red and green apart? That's wild.
