A cashier called me out at a gas station last Tuesday because my receipt design was confusing

I was buying snacks in Dallas and the cashier stopped me. She said my receipt had red text on a green background that she couldn't read. I designed that receipt myself for a small shop I run. Turns out about 1 in 12 men have some type of color blindness. Now I always check my designs with a free colorblind simulator online. Has anyone else found a good tool for testing color contrast quickly?

Bet your snacks were labeled "mystery flavor" too with that design.

Nah, I used to roll my eyes at designs like that honestly, I was one of those people who thought it was lazy or trying too hard to be quirky. But then I actually sat down and watched a few videos from the guys who made it and realized they spent months just figuring out how to make the mouth look right while still being functional. It still looks goofy to me but in a way that I respect now because they clearly put real thought into it not just slapped a face on something.
