TIL a specific shade of green can actually make people feel hungrier
I was reading a study from Cornell University about restaurant design. It said that a green called 'celadon' used on walls or menus can increase how much food people order by about 12%. I always thought red was the main color for that, you know? Has anyone else tried using a color for a physical effect like that in a store or app design?

Remember reading about casinos using that same green on their tables to keep players calm and betting longer. Makes you wonder who first figured that stuff out.

My buddy painted his whole living room this bright, awful green once. Said it was for focus or something. He ended up selling his couch online after two weeks because the room just felt weirdly tense all the time. Had to repaint the whole thing a soft gray. It's crazy how much a color can mess with your head without you even knowing why. Makes you think about who gets paid to figure this stuff out for casinos and stores.

That "celadon green" study makes me wonder if hospitals use colors to do the opposite, like calm people down.
