Spent 4 hours fighting a blue that kept turning purple on screen

I was working on a client's branding project for a little coffee shop, and their main color was this soft sky blue. On my monitor it looked perfect, but every time I exported it for web or print, it shifted way too purple. I kept tweaking the hue slider and messing with saturation, thinking it was a display calibration thing. Turns out the problem was way simpler - I had the color profile set to Adobe RGB instead of sRGB for the web exports. After about 4 hours of frustration and comparing screenshots on my phone, I finally noticed that setting and flipped it. Now the blue actually looks blue. Has anyone else had a color shift like that where you blamed your monitor but it was something else in the export settings?

Holy crap, that Adobe RGB thing got me too a couple years back. I was trying to match a dark forest green for some packaging mockups and it kept coming out muddy and almost brown on my phone. Every time I tweaked it, the fix made it look even worse on screen. My coworker finally walked over and pointed it out after I had been staring at it for like two hours, and I felt so dumb. It's wild how one little dropdown menu can totally wreck your colors and make you question your own eyesight.
