PSA: spent 5 hours fixing washed out colors that turned out to be one dumb thing
Last Tuesday I was building a landing page for a bakery in Portland and the orange buttons kept coming out muddy brown on my screen, no matter what hex code I typed in. I tweaked the sat, tried 14 different swatches, even rebuilt my palette from scratch twice thinking I had it all backwards. Around hour 5 I finally opened the file on my phone and the orange looked perfect, which made zero sense until I checked and my monitor was set to a weird photo profile from an old editing gig. One dropdown change and everything snapped back. So now I gotta ask, how do you all sanity check your screens before you trust what you're seeing?
