Pro tip: I painted my kitchen a warm gray and it turned green under my new LED lights
I tested 6 warm gray paint samples in my kitchen in Denver, all looked perfect in daylight and I picked the one called crushed stone. After installing 4000K LED bulbs, that same gray read straight up green against my oak cabinets. So now I am stuck between two ideas: either paint color should always be picked under the final light source, or we stop trusting tiny swatches and start testing on a 2 foot by 2 foot foam board. What did you learn the hard way about light color changing your paint pick?
Painted my whole living room sage green once, only to find out it looked like mint toothpaste under the old bulbs. So yeah, the light matters way more than anyone tells you at the paint store. Crushed stone sounds like it got betrayed by those LEDs.
