Pantone book got wet in my Milwaukee studio, colors shifted overnight
Left my 2020 Pantone guide on a shelf above a leaky pipe and woke up to swollen pages. Tried matching a teal for a client's packaging and every chip read 10% lighter than usual. Had to borrow a 2023 edition from a printer downtown and redo the spec sheet. Anybody else ever trust a dated or damp color bridge and regret it later?

Datasheets printed before 2021 use old ink formulas, so that teal was likely off before the leak.
