My client's new logo looked great on screen but turned muddy on their store sign
I designed a logo for a cafe in Denver using a deep teal and a warm cream, checking contrast ratios on my calibrated monitor. When they printed it on their new awning, the teal came out looking almost gray under the midday sun. I think the issue was using a pure CMYK mix instead of a Pantone spot color for outdoor use. Has anyone else had a print job fail because of how light changes a color?

Seems like the only way people learn anything these days.

Plenty of folks learn from books and teachers still.
