I used to match paint colors by eye and it failed me every time
For years I'd pick a wall color from a tiny swatch and just hope it worked on a full wall. Last year I finally bought a color grabber tool at Home Depot for $25, and it changed how I match existing paints. Now I measure the LRV and RGB values before mixing, and I've had zero mismatches in 8 months. What do you use when you need an exact match for a client's wall without starting from scratch?

Man, I feel your pain. I spent three years doing the same thing and must have repainted my living room four times before I finally got it right.

Oh wow, four times! That's dedication right there. So which color did you finally land on that made it stick? I'm curious if you had a clear vision from the start or if it was more trial and error until something just clicked.
