Had a chat with my neighbor that flipped my view on neutrals
I was showing her a flyer I made for a school bake sale, and she said 'the gray background makes the treats look a little dusty, try a warm cream instead.' I swapped it out in about five minutes, and it was crazy how much more inviting the whole thing felt. It made me see that a neutral isn't just an empty space, it's setting a mood for everything on top of it. Anyone have a go-to warm neutral they use when they want something to feel cozy?

Your neighbor nailed it. I used to slap white or gray on everything until I tried painting a wall in my living room a soft, sandy beige. It completely changed the room from feeling like a doctor's office to a place you actually want to sit. Now I see a cool gray and it just feels sterile. That warm cream is a perfect choice for food.

Remember when every apartment looked like a sad hospital waiting room? My last place had this awful gray that made my pizza look dead. Good on you for breaking free from the color police.
