Clients keep picking colors off their phone screen and then wondering why the printed sign looks off
Had a client at my shop here in Reno approve a business card color by holding her phone next to a paint swatch under our office light. It looked close enough at the time, so I printed 500 cards. When she picked them up the next day she said the blue looked muddy and asked if my printer was broken. I pulled up the same file on my calibrated monitor and the color matched what I sent, the problem was her phone screen ran cool and too bright. Now I hand people a printed proof and make them step outside in daylight before signing off. How do you all handle this when a client only wants to look at proofs on a screen?
