Blew my budget on a $60 color wheel last month
Wanted to fix a client's website in Portland that had this awful green on green scheme. Picked up the Pantone color wheel at a local art store. Took me 2 hours to match their brand colors with proper complements. Has anyone else had luck using those expensive wheels for web projects?

Toss that $60 color wheel aside and just use Coolors.co for free. I've done over a dozen website color schemes for clients using online generators and they work just as good. The Pantone wheel sits in a drawer now collecting dust while I pull up a free tool on my laptop that gives me hex codes instantly. Save your money for something that actually matters like a good font license.

Honestly I was the same way for a while. I had a Pantone wheel I bought back in college and swore by it for years. But after trying Coolors on a whim for a quick project last month I haven't touched the wheel once. The instant hex codes and color harmony rules built into those free tools are legit game changers. Feels silly now thinking about all the time I spent manually matching colors when I could have just clicked a button.
