Appreciation post: the greyscale test layer that saved my dashboard redesign
I kept getting heat from my team at the Austin office that our charts were unreadable in print, so I added a simple greyscale view toggle to check my palettes in black and white before sending anything out. Last week it caught that two of my blues sat at nearly the same lightness and printed as one flat block, so I shifted one to a much darker value and the problem disappeared. Anyone else keep a greyscale check baked into their workflow, or do you just eyeball contrast and hope for the best?
