That cafe in Austin with the yellow menu made me squint

I stopped by this place called Brew & Bread off South Congress last weekend. Their menu board is bright yellow with thin white text and I could barely read it from 3 feet away. The owner said a designer friend picked the colors and thought it looked 'modern.' Has anyone else run into a business where the contrast was just totally off for reading?

lol that "designed friend" excuse is such a cop out. i hit up a taco spot last month near Rainey Street and their menu was this neon green on black combo. felt like i was staring into a blacklight at a college party. the cashier literally had to lean over and point at the items for me. you'd think someone would test this stuff before putting it up for paying customers.

The Brew & Bread spot on South Congress sounds like a total headache, I hate when places do that with the contrast. That neon green on black at your taco place sounds even worse though, like theyre actively trying to make it hard to order.
