Switched from phone screen to a calibrated monitor for checking contrast ratios

For two years I was checking my web banner colors on my phone screen and wondering why they looked washed out on every other device. Then last Tuesday I finally bought a $200 monitor calibrator and ran it on my old Dell, and the difference was like night and day. Has anyone else had that moment where they realized their phone was lying to them about their color choices?
