Shoutout to the WCAG guidelines for making me feel dumb yesterday

I was checking my latest landing page design with a contrast tool and found out I needed a 7:1 ratio for normal text (not just the 4.5:1 I thought). I've been designing for 3 years and somehow missed that AAA level is way stricter than AA. I read it on the WebAIM site after a friend pointed out my copy was hard to read. Has anyone else gotten tripped up by the difference between AA and AAA levels?
