Rant: I was checking contrast ratios on my phone screen the entire time

I finally noticed that my web designs looked washed out on a coworker's old monitor, and it hit me that my phone's vibrant display was making colors seem way more readable than they really were. Has anyone else caught a mismatch between how colors look on different screens and had to adjust their whole workflow?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I spent like three weeks tweaking a color palette on my fancy OLED monitor and it looked perfect. Then I pulled it up on my old laptop from 2015 and everything looked like it was dipped in mud. I mean, I swear my phone makes reds look like they're glowing but they're actually just kinda peachy. Maybe it's just me but I think I need to calibrate my eyeballs at this point.

Nah, @robinmason, designing for old screens makes your stuff look good everywhere - phones just spoiling your eye.
