Pro tip: I swapped a button color on a client's site and the clicks went up
I was working on a local bakery's website last month, and they had a 'View Menu' button that was a light pink on a white background. It looked nice, but my gut said it was too faint. I ran it through a contrast checker, and it scored a 2.8:1, which is below the 4.5:1 needed for normal text. The choice was between keeping the 'brand' pink or making it accessible. I pushed for a darker, more saturated berry color. The client was hesitant at first, but we A/B tested it for a week. The new button got 15% more clicks. It was a clear win for both looks and function. Has anyone else had a client resist a color change that ended up helping their numbers?

That pink button was basically invisible.
