My new app's login screen failed a basic check I thought it would pass
I used a light blue (#88C1FF) on a white background for the 'Forgot Password' link, thinking it looked fine. Ran it through the WebAIM contrast checker and it scored a 2.1, way below the 4.5 minimum for normal text. I had to change it to a much darker blue (#0066CC) to make it work. Has anyone else been caught out by thinking a color was dark enough when it really wasn't?

My cousin's entire website failed an accessibility audit over button colors.

Honestly that seems a bit harsh for just button colors. Tbh most sites could fix that with a quick contrast check.

Feel for your cousin, that's such a frustrating way to fail. It shows how tiny oversights can have big consequences. Makes you wonder what else gets missed in those quick checks.
