Got my color contrast ratio above 4.5 on my first try today

I've been redoing the color palette for my small business site and finally hit a 4.7 contrast on the main button text. It surprised me because I was sure the orange would fail but it passed after tweaking the background shade just a little. Anyone else find that small adjustments make a bigger difference than you'd expect?

That 4.7 is a good feeling, I bet. I used to be one of those people who thought contrast ratios were just a rule to check off without paying much mind. I figured if I could read the text fine on my screen, that was good enough. Then I had a customer mention they couldn't see the sale banner on my site, and sure enough, it was barely passing at a 3.2. I spent an afternoon just nudging background colors by tiny amounts, and it completely changed my mind. The difference between a 4.2 and a 4.5 really does matter when you step back and look at the whole page. Now I'm a firm believer in those little tweaks, even if it feels tedious at the time.

Honestly I spent like an hour moving a shade from #f5f5f5 to #f4f4f4 and it totally fixed everything. The smallest tweaks are the most annoying but also the best.
