That $50 Python course I thought was a scam actually got me coding in 2 weeks

I bought this random Udemy course from a guy named Colt Steele after seeing it recommended on Reddit. I was sure it was gonna be some generic lecture where he just reads slides, but the exercises forced me to build little programs right away. At first I hated how he made me type out everything instead of copying, but by day 4 I was actually making a password checker work. Now I'm 3 weeks in and I can read basic scripts at work without panicking. Has anyone else found a course that surprised them like this?

Well, my buddy down at the shop took the same course and said the same thing. He was a total beginner and told me he actually built a little calculator program by the second weekend.

Yeah it's funny how once you break through that first wall everything just clicks. Kinda like learning to drive a manual car, that first weekend is rough but by Sunday evening you're rolling through town without stalling. That calculator thing is a good milestone because it forces you to think about inputs and outputs in a real way instead of just copying code.
