My first Python bug was a missing colon and it ate 3 hours of my Saturday
Back when I was learning Python in 2019, I wrote a little grocery list script in IDLE and it just would not run. I stared at the logic for almost 3 hours, moved indents around, renamed variables, and reread the same error line maybe 40 times before my roommate leaned over and pointed at a missing colon after my if statement. I felt so silly that I closed the laptop and made a sandwich. Did anyone else lose a big chunk of their early days to one tiny punctuation slip?
