Three days straight of HDPE stringers this week nearly broke me
Had a rush job come in Monday for 400 pieces of 1 inch thick HDPE. Cutter was throwing chips everywhere, coolant kept clogging, and I had to stop every 20 minutes to clear the filter. By Wednesday I was running on coffee and spite. My spindle bearings are gonna need replacing soon I can feel it. Anyone else have a nightmare week with plastic shavings?

Ditch the coolant and run that stuff dry, way less headache.

Exactly this. Once you go dry you never go back. The mess from coolant leaks and the constant topping off gets old real fast. Plus you don't have to worry about that stuff going bad or growing mold in the system. Just gotta make sure your tooling can handle the extra heat and you're good to go. Some people freak out about it but honestly its way less maintenance overall.
